WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Sam Graves recently announced the successful allocation of $3,307,000 for the Harrison County PWSD #2 in the appropriations bill signed earlier this month.
"It’s critical that our rural counties have access to water,” emphasized Rep. Sam Graves, highlighting the importance of ensuring water access for underserved areas.
Expressing his satisfaction with the funding allocation, Graves added, “Harrison County PWSD #2 continues to increase the number of customers they serve and are desperately in need of additional water sources. I’m thrilled to be able to get them this much-needed funding to serve Northwest Missouri with clean, safe drinking water.”
The funding secured by Graves will enable Harrison County PWSD #2 to undertake significant water infrastructure projects, including the drilling of two new water supply wells and the addition of ten miles of transmission line. These initiatives aim to provide additional water access to six towns, two counties, and three water supply districts in the region.
