Missouri voter: 'We have to reelect President Trump'

Rodney Huckleberry is just one of the tens of millions of Americans who have already voted in the 2020 elections, including contests ranging from the presidency to school board seats.

For the resident of Lincoln County, Missouri, high-profile races are grabbing his attention.

“This election for president is our defense of the enemy — the leftists, the socialists, the communists — against freedom and liberty," Huckleberry said in an interview with the Northeast Missouri News. "We have to reelect President [Donald] Turmp. Keep him moving forward in making America Great and defending liberty. He believes in the Constitution, the rights and liberties of the people and a free Republic."

As of Oct. 26, more than 60 million Americans have voted in the 2020 elections. In Montana, 362,550 people have voted early.

In addition to the presidential campaign, Huckleberry emphasized the importance of the gubernatorial race for Missouri, mainly what he looks for in a candidate.

“I look at [candidates] to see if they stand on a record [of] principle and if they believe in defending the Constitution," he said.

In addition, he vocalized his support for Mike Parson, saying “I know [Parson] stands up for the rights and liberties of people based on the Constitution.”

Huckleberry cited his past military service as an incentive for people to vote.

When asked about why people should vote, he said, “I was a veteran, we fought and died for the freedoms and rights that people have, and that includes voting in elections. Every person should come out and vote in every election to defend their liberty, their rights, and their freedom.”

With tens of millions of ballots already cast, it appears that voters will be exercising that right in record numbers come Election Day.
