By three years, most children notice other children and join them to play, can put on some clothes like loose pants, will say their first name when asked and can draw a circle! Help your little one understand their emotions through conversation, give them words to explain how they are feeling. Help them manage stressful situations by teaching about taking deep breaths, hugging a favorite toy or going to a quiet, safe place to calm down.
