2021 has 1.7% of Monroe County residents unemployed

Monroe County recorded an unemployment rate of 1.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 64 people out of the 8,643 living in Monroe County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Monroe County has decreased compared to the 2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Monroe County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 3,687 people who had a job during that time, 12 were employed in the Armed Forces and 3,675 belonged to the civilian labor force.
