Marion County ranked 51st in Missouri for resident earnings in 2018

Marion County ranked 51st among counties in Missouri by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Marion County residents was $24,478 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 11,500 households with a population of 28,672.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Platte County with $38,927 per year after adjusting for inflation – $14,449 more than Marion County. It had 38,613 households with a population of 98,824.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Mississippi County with $15,266 per year after adjusting for inflation – $9,212 less than Marion County. It had 5,040 households with a population of 13,748.
