Pike County had unemployment rate of 3.8% in 2021

Pike County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 275 people out of the 18,052 living in Pike County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Pike County has decreased compared to the 4.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Pike County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 6,897 people who had a job during that time, 26 were employed in the Armed Forces and 6,871 belonged to the civilian labor force.
