Congressman Sam Graves of Missouri's 6th District has expressed his support for President Trump's recent address to a Joint Session of Congress. In his statement, Graves highlighted several key points from the President's speech.

Graves remarked on the significance of President Trump's return to Congress, stating, "It was an honor to welcome President Trump back to the People’s House and hear his vision for renewing the American Dream." He emphasized that it is a "new day in Washington" with President Trump fulfilling his promises.

According to Graves, the President has made swift progress in addressing issues such as illegal immigration and government spending. "Our border was out of control, but it has taken him no time to stem the tide of illegal immigration," he noted. On financial matters, Graves mentioned that excessive spending on initiatives like the Green New Deal has been curtailed: "Green New Deal spending was rampant, but the President has shut off the spigot for far-left pet projects."

Energy policy was another area where Graves praised Trump's actions. He stated that energy prices have been burdensome for American families, but acknowledged efforts by Trump to reduce regulations and promote energy independence: "Energy prices are crushing American families, but President Trump is reducing regulations and unleashing American energy independence."

Graves concluded by expressing optimism about working with Trump moving forward: "The federal government desperately needed to be reined in, and the President is doing exactly that.
