Rep. Sam Graves, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 6th district, recently posted several updates on his official social media account, addressing congressional conduct, transportation policy discussions, and a recent aviation accident.
On November 4, 2025, Graves commented on congressional activity with the post: "Congress does two things very well. 1. Nothing 2. Overreact".
Later that day, he shared details about a policy discussion he participated in: "Great to join @JakeSherman from @PunchbowlNews this morning to discuss the highway bill and FEMA reform. Thanks to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association @NRECANews for hosting our conversation."
On November 5, 2025, Graves addressed a recent aviation incident involving UPS Flight 2976 in Louisville: "My prayers are with those involved in last night's crash of UPS Flight 2976 in Louisville. The Transportation & Infrastructure Committee is in touch with FAA & NTSB. I caution against speculating about the accident’s cause & we will continue to await further updates from NTSB."
Graves has represented Missouri's 6th District since 2001 after succeeding Pat Danner and previously served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature. He was born in Tarkio, Missouri in 1963 and continues to reside there. Graves graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986.
